Our day in Sydney - 3rd January - Day 3

We decided it was time for a $2.50 day out.
On the train at Oak Flats and 2 hours later we're in our beautiful city of Sydney.
Hopped off at Martin Place and walked down to the Quay - first stop Customs House to see a display of photo's of Fred Hollows - a bit disappointing as there were only a few there.
I'm always facinated with the model of Sydney under the glass floor.

We then discovered you can't get the ferry to Birkenhead Pt so we took a 500 bus.
Had a walk around the factory outlets and a nice lunch overlooking the harbour.
Then back to the city for a walk arounf the QVB.

The patterns of the QVB - thank goodness it wasn't bulldozed - what a treasure.
Those Baroque pearls cost more that the camper!

The remnants of Christmas.
The Swarovski Christmas Tree and Heartwood Creek Nativity Scenes in amongst the glitz.
The shop windows are amazing.
Then home on the train - a great day out for $2.50!
