Scatterdays C could be for Cat or Canine really.

But this time it's for a hobby, furniture and a pizza topping. I'm not s'posed to eat cheese 'cause my cholesterol is up.
I have not been very imaginitive with the pizza - loved Fran's capsicums - don't fruit and vegs stacked up in shops look just so great? Anyhow - here is some unimaginitive CHEESE - it is LOW fat.
You would have a very dull pizza without it really.
My furniture is my old china cabinet - bit retro isn't it? I bought it at a clearing sale at Baan Baa - near Narrabri and then had to con the local carrier (husband of a friend) to bring it home for me and then had to con the local glazier (husband of a friend)to replace the mirror in the back of it. It's full of all that crystal that I have inhertited or bought at sales 'cause it was cheap but then never use. Know what I mean?
Then hobbies as you can see - I have chosen Cake decorating - I need another mosaic here ....

I also have Fran's problem of cropped photo's - we'll work it our one day. So you can't really see the two tiers of the wedding cakes but no doubt you get the idea. I photographed the old photo's so the clarity is not too great either. On well it's not a competition is it? So here is what I did in another life - prepared me for free machine quilting tho' with the 'cornelli' pipework (all the squiggles like stippling). I'll just tell one story and that's of the hexagonal cake you can see there with the sweet peas. Well it was an order for the wife of one of the local GP's in the town. It was finished(used to burn the midnight oil then too)late one night - the day before it was being collected. When I got up the next morning, my two little darlings (twins) who would have been about 3 or 4 or so at the time I guess had been up before me. They had removed and eaten every flower! All that was left were the little curls of wire which were like the tendrils of the sweet peas. I was NOT amused as you can imagine - I actually can't remember ever being so angry really. Anyhow they disappeared post haste from my wrath and luckily -for them - as they had been VERY careful removing the flowers and not damaging the icing at all I was able to resurrect the cake and redo it with the spare flowers that I had left over. A couple of years after the event I was able to tell the recipient and we had a good laugh about it. The girls say they don't remember - maybe they are blocking it out! I will NEVER forget!
I am off tomorrow to Syders for the day to catch up with Scquilters and then with some old nursing buddies and then off to M&M's on Sunday. That's why my piccies are up now. Catch ya next week!.

Love the photos, Stephanie. And what stunning cake decorating. Not a skill I can ever imagine myself acquiring, but I do admire it.

Loved the story about the twins and the sweet peas, Stephanie. I would have been apoplectic too! Still, it makes a great story now that there are a few years between you and the event! Cheers, Di
