Day 91. It's Easter Sunday

I hopped on the train at 6.15am and arrived at Broadmeadow at 11.45.
Great to catch up with family - here I am with Harry at the park.
He loves his 'shamrock' hat we bought in Dublin.

He's still a bit unsure on the climbing equipment.
Better safe than sorry eh?

Here he is with Mum.
They were off to Lucinda's birthday party - I hear he was the only boy!

Dad looking 'cool' too

Day 90 - Fixing Storm Damaged Roof.

This house is across the road from us.
It was hit by a flying trampoline the night of our mini tornado.
It hit the roof and then fell onto the windscreen of one
of their cars in the driveway.

All better now.

So we compare the Sydney with the Wollongong varieties.
These fellows are mostly from the Botanical gardens in Wollongong.

Day 84 - We Love Markets!

These sequins caught my eye at the markets in Newcastle.

And the guying playing trad jazz under the shady trees.

Of course I had to take a pic of this food van!

Day 80 - Wednesday 20th March - The big Merino

We called by the Big Merino at Goulburn the day we went down to Batlow to pick up Woofy.
I love his scarf knitted by the local Knitters group. I had to convert to a bit of it to B&W
for an Abstract shot for my photography class. I like it best in colour!

Day 78 - Monday 18th March. New setting

We have found a new outdoor setting on Gumtree. Here is how the chairs look.
But we have had to store it in the garage until we have our new roof.
David McKinnon has agreed to do it for us and we'll add to our NRMA payout to make sure we get better box gutters and down pipes. He'll be down in a couple of weeks to measure up. Yahoo.

Day 76 - Saturday 16th

We head off to Copacobana to catch up with Bonjour tour friends.
Woofy has gone to stay with friends while Lee goes to camp and looks pretty content.

Day 75 - Woofy goes home

Poor boy, he's too big to fit into Chloe's borrowed bed.

Day 74 - Chloe meets Woofy

Today Maureen and I did the round trip to Tumbarumba (770kms)
to pick up Woofy, Lee's new dog.
Isn't he a cutie?
I'm sure he'll make a great companion for her.

Day 73 - 13th March. Hullo Cindy

My photo today is of Cindy our cockatiel.
We have had her quite a while now and she now has a mate Simon to keep her company.
They both wolf whistle and are learning 'Pop goes the Weasel'

Day 72 - Kaelan swings

Here we are at the park this morning.
Of course by the time I got the camera he was tired and missed the last rung.
Well done Kaelan!

He lasted until about 230pm but then it got too much and he had a bit of a kip on the lounge.

Day 71 - 11th March.

Now that Jack has gone home to live in Newcastle, Leelee is going to get her own dog.
We found this fellow on Gumtree. His name is Woofy and he's a Puff Ball (or Powder Puff) - that's the furred version of the Chinese Crested dog. Isn't he a cutie?
Maureen and I are off to pick him up from Tumbarumba on Thursday

Day 70 - Harry has a Snow Cone!

We called in to have a look at the Sunday markets at Broadmeadow Showground and Harry scored a Snow Cone.
I tried a goumet bacon and egg wrap and Lee went for the Chinese dumplings - yummo we all had a try.

Day 69 - Saturday 9th March - Jack is home!

A boy shouldn't be separated from his dog!

Harry and Jack are glad to be back together.

Day 68 - It's Friday

And I am off tomorrow to Newcastle with Lee to return Jack to his family so ....
I had better hang the shade sail beore I go.
Alas - I measured incorrectly and so rather than return it, I decide to get out the big machine and sew a tuck in it down the middle to reduce the size by a metre.

It will do until the roof is repaired and then we can put it out from the end of the
roof to shade the grassy patch for the grandies to play.
Ahhhhhh its done - if a little unconventionally.
I am better with fabric than with drills and screws, at least I remember the girl guide knots!

Day 67 - Thursday 7th March

We are working towards getting tidied up after the storm, cleaning out the garage and saying goodbye to the kids 3 wheelers they dont ride anymore - thank you to Freecycle.
Photo for today I took in Jervis Bay out of Husskison when we took the kids on a dolphin cruise.

Day 66 - Christmas Beetle

Who remembers these fellows?
We don't seem to get as many about as we used to - I captured this guy and took some close ups. I hope to learn about layering at ISC this year so that with a series of photo's at a different focal level, eventually I can get a whole close up shot IN FOCUS!

Day 65 .... Boy Day

Tuesdays Kaelan comes to stay. He gets 'really tired' when he gets into the car.

Day 64 ... Pot plants on the roof

We are pretty sorted now with our damage, just waiting for the assessors to come back to look at the hole in our lounge room ceiling. Looks like some pieces of ridge capping coming through from above! David McKinnon came down to have a look and do a quote.
